I am the Interactive Director and co-founder of the Design and Technology studio

I graduated in 1998 with a degree in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design.

I am a founding partner of the Barbarian Group and worked with them until late 2009. I also helped to establish the west coast office and was head of the labs division. I also worked with Bloom Studio in early 2011 and worked on the Planetary iPad app which was the first code acquisition by the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum.

I am a co-creator of the Cinder C++ framework.

My work ranges from simple 2D data visualizations to immersive 3D terrain simulations. My primary interests include theoretical physics, astronomy, flocking simulations, and audio visualizations. I work primarily in Houdini.

I have spoken at conferences around the world, including OFFF, Eyeo Festival, Tedx, FlashForward, FITC, Flash on the Beach, and FlashBelt. I was also a guest lecturer at RISD, NYU’s ITP program, UCLA’s DMA program, and SCI-ARC. My work has been shown at the Victoria&Albert Museum, Wing Luke Asian Museum, McLeod Residence Gallery, Wired NextFest, San Francisco Exploratorium, and the San Francisco Independent Film Festival.
